A step forward: ReCoTech GmbH website is CO2-neutral
Together we can achieve more: ReCoTech GmbH is now a new member of the global climate initiative CO2 Neutral Website. The collaboration promotes sustainable projects around the world and enables us to offset the emissions balance of the ReCoTech website.
As a company with a sustainable perspective, transparency is an absolute guiding value for us. The CO2-neutral website organization helps us to make our company’s CO2 emissions tangible and put them into figures. The climate initiative takes three areas into account: (1) the electricity consumption of our servers, (2) the consumption of our users per page view and (3) the amount of energy generated by data transmission. An intelligent approach that we welcome as an important measure on the long road to climate protection.
In return, CO2 Neutral Website receives a financial contribution from us, which flows into various projects with Gold Standard certification. The aim of the initiative is to create alternatives to fossil fuels worldwide and thereby reduce CO2 emissions. The starting points are diverse and range from water projects in Africa to wind initiatives in Turkey.
Our CEO Manuel Panzirsch sees the cooperation as a clear guideline for the future: “With CO2 Neutral Website, we have found a partner that promotes sustainability with a spirit of innovation and thus fits in with our corporate vision. We are delighted to be part of the initiative and to be able to officially add the “CO2-neutral” seal to our website.”
